Headgate Model #s For Ordering Cables
When ordering cables,
you need to give us the model # of your headgate. It is located on the
metal patent tag on the upper right hand square tubing of the headgate.
(The number is stamped into the tag with a metal stamp.)
Each set of model numbers takes a different cable.
Model#s G - 66 or 77 or 777 all take the same cables.
Model#s G - 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 or 6 or 22 all take the same cables.
Model#s G - 7.
Model#s G - 9 or 9S or 93 all take the same cables.

You may order
direct by calling Una here at the plant between 7:30AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to
5:00PM Central Time Monday through Friday (308-645-2231). If you call
after hours, just give the headgate model # along with your US Mail address and
we will send the cables by Priority Mail. A bill will be in the package along
with instructions for reinstalling your new cables. Just send us a check
back and we will know you received the cables.

Additional Installation
Tips:
If you only have one
broken cable, back the nuts off to a couple of threads on the good cable.
Take the broken cable off, then pull one neck pipe towards you while you push
the other away in order to make the cable still on the gate tight. This
gives you room to get the new cable on correctly and also with less effort in
getting the last bolt through the hole. Now that this is done, reverse the
process taking the unbroken cable off and replacing it with the other new cable.
Hang your used cable up as a spare so that if you break another cable, you can
put it back on with the already stretched cable. The reason for doing this
is because the cables will stretch a little and if just one new one is put on,
it will stretch and throw the gate out of time causing you to break another
cable right away. I hope this is helpful to you.
